UK returns stolen cash to Nigeria

	Britain has returned to Nigeria some of the money seized by London police from the former governor of Plateau State. Joshua Dariye was arrested in London in September 2004 and skipped bail to flee back to Nigeria. The Acting British High Commissioner to Nigeria, James Tansley, handed a cheque for 29.3 million Naira ($235,000) to the Nigerian Solicitor General. Mr Dariye faces charges of stealing some $128 million (N36 billion) from Plateau State.
