Is Kenya Preparing For War With Somali?

Kenya Army units have been put on stand by to counter any Al Shabaab insurgency spill over from Somalia.This follows the meeting of the country's top Security council which was chaired by President Kibaki and right Hon Raila Odinga on Tuesday.

Internal sources confirm that the Kenya Army is prepared to go into deep Somalia to counter the insurgency.Over 13000 Personnel have now been stationed in the border with reports that more are being dropped in by Army Helicopters.

Its also believed that about 500 officers have gone 10 KM into Somalia to secure an important bridge which the Al Shabaab had threatened to blow up in order to stop the movement of the Kenyan Millitary.

Over 130 Tanks are now on the border with several Fighter and Transport Helicopters on stand by in Moyale,Isiolo,Nanyuki and Moi Air Base in Nairobi

Other reprts indicate that a consignment from the US Milliatry and the Kenya Millitary was dropped in Mogadishu on Saturday by the Kenya Airforce by express orders from Kenya's Ministry of Defence

Why do i have a problem with this story looks unfounded if you ask me

The problem with this war is that kenya watakwenda kupigana "Proxy war" that is pretty sure though not politically correct
Alshabab gets financial support from whom? there are conspiracy theory which suggest that US is behind this, they support alshabab, and others militarily for economic gain (kuuza silaha)
Now wasiwasi wangu ndugu zangu wakenya (wakwe by the way I have kikuyu beutiful wife) watauwa wengi bila sababu "playing tactics is better than real field battle" mtaondoka kwa aibu "US will support you inone hand and will support alshabab on other hand" mtauwana wao wanauza silaha....

America and Alshabaab is what my English teacher used to call an oxymoron, they cant be together.

Al-shabaab has been trained and supported by Al-qaeda and is frequently mentioned in Osama and Zawahiri tapes,there is no way the US will arm them.The US has also black-listed Al-shabaab as a terrorist outfit and bombed them a few times.It also means another front in Africa for Al-qaeda.
It is also important to note that Somalia supported an insurgency in Kenya 64-70 that killed thousands in the northeast,and Kenya asked Nyerere to talk to his friend Siad Barre who obliged[read kumekucha blog].Tanzania has played big brother on many occations solving Kenya problems but we always get their bad reviews.
