Iran’s supreme leader, for the first time, is telling his nation that it must prepare for war and “the end of times” as it continues to develop nuclear weapons.

State-owned media outlets, in a coordinated effort, all ran a similar story Friday highlighting Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s message on the coming of the last Islamic messiah.

Until now, the Iranian media would mostly quote clerics from seminaries on the issue of the last Islamic messiah to avoid the regime being labeled messianic. However, the wide publication of Khamenei’s statements on a need to prepare for the end of times as it confronts the West over its illicit nuclear program is alarming to Western leaders.
“The issue of Imam Mahdi is of utmost importance, and his reappearance has been clearly stated in our holy religion of Islam,” Khamenei said. We must study and remind ourselves of the end of times and Imam Mahdi’s era. … We must prepare the environment for the coming so that the great leader will come.”

Do not mislead people the leader was talking about Imam Mahdi (af) not nuclear weapons. Usually Imamu Khamenei says Islam is much more Strong than nuclear weapons, if we will depend on Allah our enemies will not harm us, but if it will happen it will be the minor case and finally we will be awarded the paradise. Therefore no need for Muslims to prepare weapons of mass destruction which will destroy human beings. This is against Islamic law which stress that every person should live in harmony until when God will take his or her soul.

I don't see those words in the koran. You know what happened when "prophet" was on earth!! If there is veracity in what you construed, why submitting?

source of knowledge in Islam is Qur'an and prophet's traditions (words and teachings of Prophet Mohammad (saw)). These words are obtained from books of prophets traditions that the world will be led by twelve Imams, one after another, the last one will be known as Mohammad Mahdi who will hide for a long time, when rulers of that time will be about to kill him. He will come back to bring about justice to this world. The world will not end until justice will be known and Imam Mahdi will lead this mission, Jesus (as) will accompany him in his mission. I will prepare a thread specific for this topic insh-Allah.

Allah (God) made us humans to go in earth, in order for us to be tested with worldly trials and tribulations...
If we are good people, we will be rewarded in the hereafter....
If we are bad people, we will be punished in hell in the hereafter !

So you cant say Allah was sleeping or something like that !

God tests us via many exams, from (human made errors and tribulations to natural destructions and tribulations)
in order for us human beings to achieve a higher level.
