Siku moja nilitembelea celtel kwa huduma kadhaa , mara akaingia dada mmoja , huyu dada akamwambia yule kama wa huduma kwa wateja kwamba kuna mtu anataka kuja kuchukua orodha ya namba za simu anazopigiwa na kupiga kutoka katika simu yake .

Huyu kijana alipojaribu kumdodosa , yule dada akasema huyo mtu anayetaka kuja kuchukuwa taarifa hizo anajuana na mtu mwingine ambaye anafanya kazi hapo hapo celtel , maongezi yao hayakuwa ni ya siri kwa sababu mtu wa pembeni kama mimi niliweza kusikia .

Nikafikiria kama wakati yule dada anajiunga na celtel waliingia mkataba wowote ule unaohusu siri za mteja , kama namba anazopigiwa na kpiga , sms na kadhalika na je kama maendeleo yake yanawekwa wazi kwa wateja wengine ambao wanataka kujua .

Ni kweli , wengi tunaojiunga na hii mitandao ya simu hatuwi na mkataba wowote ule na kampuni hizi za simu , mkataba ambao unaweza kulinda masilahi yako wewe kama mteja , usiweze kufuatiliwa au taarifa zako zisiweze kutolewa kwa mtu mwingine wowote bila taarifa yako au kama huyo mtu hausiki na vyombo vyovyote vya usalama na kama mtu huyo hana mamlaka yoyote ya kufanya hivyo .

Sijui kama mamlaka ya mawasiliano Tanzania imeshaona umuhimu kwa kampuni zinazotoa huduma hizi za simu kuwa na mkataba maalumu kati yao na wateja wao , au sijui hata kama wameshawahi kupata malalamiko kwa baadhi ya wateja kulalamika kuingiliwa privacy zao pengine na wafanyakazi hao hao wa kampuni za simu au na watu wa nje ambao wanawatumia wafanyakazi wa kampuni hizi kupata taarifa za watu wengine bila idhini .

Pia sijui kama mamlaka ya mawasiliano ina kitengo maalumu kinachoshugulikia mambo haya , mfano mimi nimeingiliwa privacy yangu kwa namba zangu za simu kupewa mtu mwingine au taarifa zangu zingine kupewa mtu mwingine na huyu mtu aliyepewa akazitumia kwa shuguli zake na mimi nikawa una ushahidi kwamba nimefanyiwa hivyo , je mamlaka ya mawasiliano wana wataalamu wa kuweza kutoa ushahidi au kusaidia kama nikiamua kumpandisha huyu mtu kizimbani na kampuni ya simu husika ?

Kama mamlaka ya mawasiliano haiwezi hivi basi serikali iwe na idara maalumu ya kulinda masilahi ya wateja za huduma za mawasiliano , ikifanya hivi itakuwa imeboresha ufanya kazi wa makampuni haya , katika kutunza siri za wateja na vitu vingine na wateja pia watakuwa na uhuru wa kutumia simu zao bila kuwa na hofu juu ya kile wanachoongea au kile wanachotuma kwa watu .

Hapo chini nimeweka mfano wa mkataba ambao unatakiwa uwekwe wazi kati ya MTOA HUDUMA ZA SIMU NA MTEJA ambao uko wazi kabisa

Haya mambo uliyoandika Shy ni ya muhimu sana sana tu. I hope TCRA wanashughulika nayo au watashughulikia baada ya kuona hapa... Ni aibu, kosa na utumvu wa nidhamu ulio mkubwa kwa wahudumu ku-disclose customer information, lakini siku hizi nasikia hapa Tanzania mtu anaweza kutoa laki moja tu na kupatiwa text messages zote zilizotumwa kwenye namba atakayo itaja.

Haya mashirika ya mawasiliano ya simu za mkononi na mengineyo husika inabidi yawe mahili, si mbali siye tutaanza kupeleka kesi kotini kuhusiana na ukiukwaji wa maadili huu. I'm sure licence zao za ku-operate mitandao ya simu zina himiza umakini hilo.

Jamaa yangu tulikuwa nae chuo na bahati nzuri tukabahatika kufanya kazi hapo Dar. Jamaa alikuwa na demu wake toka chuo sasa ilifika mahali jamaa demu akawa anapata taarifa zote kuwa jamaa kaongea na nani na text mesege zote za msikaji demu akawaanazijua. Hii ilifanya uhusiano wao uvunjike maana demu alimpigia sister yake mshikaji na kumtuhumu kwanini anapigiwa simu sana na jamaa (Demu alihisi wanahusiano wa kimapenzi kumbe sio) Tulipofuatilia Tigo wakati huo ilijulikana kama Buzz ndio tukagundua demu anarafiki yake anafanya customer care ndie alikuwa anampa taarifa zote na hata kudivert msgs kwenda kwa simu yake. It was very sad kwasababu mfanyakazi mwenyewe nae alikuwa class mate wetu. Kuli ilituuma sana na tulitaka kuchukua hatua mhusika akatusihi sana but uhusiano wa jamaa na mpenzi wake ulivunjika.

Nadhani hii inatokea kwa watu wengi sana na ni swala linalohitaji uangalizi mpya.

Well guys nadhani Tanzania mnajua jinsi tulivyo mabingwa wa kupindua taratibu. Nadhani hata sheria zikiwekwa au hata taratibu zikiwekwa ni vigumu saba kutekelezwa. The thing is Serikali yetu kwenye mambo ya tech bado iko mwaka 47, sidhani kama hilo wanaweza kuli-enforce. sanasana watasema tuna sheria lakini utekelezaji wake utabaki mikononi mwa hao hao wafanyakazi wa cutomer care!
Labda sanasana ni mtu kujizuia tu kufanya huo ujanja, au kama unalazimika uwe na namba za siri.Au uwe na namba 4 ambazo wengine hawazijui.

Hawa bwana wanafanya maskhara na haki za mteja, period! Hawatakoma watu hawa huo mchezo mchafu wa kutoa info za watu kwa watu mpaka siku kampuni za simu zitapoanza lipishwa fidia ya mamilioni ya fedha kutokana na mchezo mchafu huo. Maongezi ya simu na Txt msgs ni siri ya mtuma kwa mtumiwa, unless otherwise!

Mbaya zaidi 'tunaoneana' haya sana, kwa mliokumbwa na experience hizi ni vyema kama mngechukua/mtachukua hatua ya kushtaki Kampuni pamoja na kudai fidia kwa uozo huu unaofanywa na wafanyakazi "mafisadi, wafitini, wadaku na wanafiki" wachache kwenye makampuni haya ya simu.

Naamini kuna mawakili wataochangamkia kesi hizi za mamilioni ya chap chap, mpaka heshima kwa mteja itaporudi!

You may be right Shy, I do not think (the employees for this matter), know, by providing information to a third party is going against the company's policies/ procedures or whatever you wanna call them. I do not think employers have their employees sign confidential contract. Mimi nadhani matatizo yanafanywa na wafanyakazi zaidi ya kusema employer wanazembea.

Hii wala si wafanyakazi wa makampuni za simu pekee, siku hizi mpaka wafanyakazi wa mabenki. Nimeongea na mtu mmoja last week aliyetoka Dar few weeks ago, akanieleza kuwa mfanyakazi mmoja wa kampuni inayoshughuliki a mafao ya uzeeni, alimleteaa 'proof', yaani alitoa copy ya maelezo ya mteja na mafao yake ya uzeeni na kumwambia 'si nilikwambia' huyu mama anapata kiasi hiki cha pesa.??? Hii ni kali.

Wafanyakazi wa benki, wao wanachofanya siku hizi, si unajua tena makampuni yana-direct deposit mishahara ya wafanyakazi wao, basi, hawa ndugu zetu wana-print tu the amount mtu anayopata , na kukuletea-proof. I mean this is bad. If I were working for these companies, What I would do now is have all employees sign a confidential agreement, in addition to what the company’s policies as far as privacy are concerned. Thereafter, if any employee breaches that for whatever reason, hakuna kumpa first warning wala nini, this is no discussion, it goes straight to termination. Hapa labda wata-learn. Maana in this case, they expose companies for unnecessary liabilities kwa sababu ya upuuzi upuuzi tu.
